Savour the Flavour Culinary Boot Camp March 2014

Spring is on its way and we’re kicking it off with our fourth Savour the Flavour Culinary Boot Camp!!!

For just $100, students ages 11 to 18 have an opportunity to learn how to cook with a professional chef for five days as they learn professional culinary skills, recipe development, and etiquette that are sure to impress!

Our goals with this event are to promote the use of locally grown foods and encourage the community to shop locally, offer a hands-on experience that builds in-depth culinary skills, and create a Community Tapas-Tasty Event featuring the delicious appetizers and other tempting tastes our Boot Campers will create.

This year, will have a Blog Cast featuring our Boot Campers who will share their experiences with us at The Bank, our guest Chef who will be putting our Boot Campers’ culinary skills into shape will be Chef Bobby Briones from Toronto,and our Boot Capers will have a field trip to an organic farm!




Chef Bobby Briones

Bobby Briones is a trained chef, graduating from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, in 2011, and has spent time honing his skills in New York City, working for a restaurants such as the Harrison in Tribeca and the world renowned restaurant, Eleven Madison Park.  Briones has also worked in the kitchens of Daniel and Bouley, two Michelin start rated restaurants.  Briones rounds out his skills in the kitchen having volunteered as the Chef de Cuisine at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church’s Crossroads Community Services.
